Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-07-083 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING TIGER STREET NW FROM CR 63 TO CR 84 TO BE A <br />RURAL RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, AND DECLARING THE SPEED LIMIT TO BE 30 <br />MILES PER HOUR; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the development along the segment of Tiger Street from CR 63 (173~d <br />Avenue) and CR 83 (Armstrong Blvd) is built up with dwelling house at intervals of less than <br />300 feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this segment of Tiger Street exceeds one quarter mile in length; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this segment of Tiger Street meets the definition of a "rural residential <br />district; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a maximum speed of 30 miles per hour is deemed to be appropriate in a <br />"rural residential district" <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) The City Council hereby declares the segment of Tiger Street between CR 63 and CR 83 to <br /> be a "rural residential district; and <br /> <br />2) The City Administrator is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the <br /> Commissioner of Transportation; and <br /> <br />3) Ten days after the transmission of this resolution to the Commissioner of Transportation the <br /> speed limit shall be post at 30 miles per hour on this segment of Tiger Street. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cook and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> <br />
