<br />Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-10-288 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO PEARSON BROS. INC FOR 2003 <br />PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM – DIVISION A <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />on May 13, 2003, the Ramsey City Council authorized plans and <br />specifications and advertisement for bids on 2003 Street Maintenance Program – Division A, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> on June 10, 2003, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #03-06-147 <br />awarding the bid for 2003 Pavement Maintenance Program – Division A to Pearson Brothers in <br />the amount of $80,947.50, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the work has been completed and final payment due the contractor for the <br />work has been determined to be $73,936.22, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />City Engineer, Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Pearson Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $66,963.12, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />City Engineer, Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends final payment to Pearson Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $6,973.10. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Pearson Brothers, Inc. for <br />Improvement Project 2003 Street Maintenance Program – Division A in the amount of <br />$6,973.10. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of October 28, 2003. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec <br /> Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> Councilmember Kurak <br />RESOLUTION #03-10-288 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />
