Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #03-10-289 RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO UNIVERSAL ENTERPRISES OF MID-MINNESOTA, INC. FOR 2003 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM WHEREAS, on May 13, 2003, the Ramsey City Council authorized plans and specifications and advertisement for bids on 2003 Pavement Maintenance Program – Division B, and WHEREAS, on June 10, 2003, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #03-06- 147A awarding the bid for 2003 Pavement Maintenance Program – Division B Universal Enterprises of Mid-Minnesota, Inc. in the amount of $197,388.75, and WHEREAS, the work has been completed and final payment due the contractor for the work has been determined to be $191,315.75, and WHEREAS, City Engineer, Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Universal Enterprises of Mid-Minnesota, Inc. in the amount of $172,184.17, and WHEREAS, City Engineer, Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and recommends final payment to Universal Enterprises of Mid-Minnesota, Inc. in the amount of 19,131.58. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Universal Enterprises of Mid- Minnesota for improvement Project 2003 Pavement Maintenance Program – Division B in the amount of $19,131.58. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of October 28, 2003. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
