Ramsey Rail Station. The Anoka County Regional Rail Authority acted unanimously to award the contract for the Ramsey rail station project on January 26. The project is an estimated 20% under budget and construction is expected to start the first part of March. Mr. Vodenka's Talk Canceled. An invitation was forwarded a couple weeks ago regarding a presentation by Mr. Peter Vodenka. The event was scheduled for Saturday, February 11, in the Alexander Ramsey Room. Mr. Vodenka's presentation has been canceled and will be rescheduled for another time. Staff will update Council with new information once it is available. State of the Cities Luncheon. The annual Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce State of the Cities Luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, February 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Harvest Grill at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids (12800 Bunker Prairie Road). (Registration begins at 11:00 a.m.) Jo will send an invitation request through your email . to accept or decline. Cities represented are Andover, Anoka, Champlin, Coon rapids, Dayton, Nowthen, Ramsey and St. Francis. Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Gala Dinner. The 25 Anniversary Silver Gala Dinner Fundraiser will be held Friday, February 24, 2012, at The Courtyards of Andover. The evening begins at 5:30 with social time, followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. The City has agreed to purchase a table.
