Dennis Strange - Inquired as to the extent of damage to Trott Brook.

Chairman Zimmerman replied that the construction will impose as little damage on Trott
Brook as possible.

Mr. Otto noted that the work to be done has been permitted by DNR and is a necessary
temporary impact for the road construction.

Commissioner Deemer noted that in the process, the inverted culvert that is presently
located in the vicinity will be corrected and there will be less flooding upstream to the west.

Earl Hetrick - 8645 168th Avenue - Inquired if the culvert will be functionally replaced with
something else.

Chairman Zimmerman replied that the City has not seen the detailed project plans and that
Mr. Hetrick could get his question answered by calling the Anoka County Highway
Department.

Barb Johnson - Inquired if the construction will disturb the beaver damn.

Mr. Banwart stated that if the beaver damn is not in the road right-of-way, it should not be
disturbed.

Barb Johnson - Inquired as to what stakes with yellow ribbons on them signify in the area.

Mr. Otto noted that the stakes are used as benchmarks from which construction is based on
and do not necessarily represent the limits of construction area.

Barb Johnson - Stated that she did not realize there was a sufficient amount of traffic on
Cry. Rd. #83 to warrant such a large improvement project.

Commissioner Deemer stated that the County is only bringing the road up to County
standards.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to adjourn the
public hearing.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, LaDue,
Deemer, Terry and Thom& Voting No: None.
