<br />Councilmember Strommen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-06-196 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT WITH S&P <br />CONSTRUCTION OF ST. PAUL, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $37,877 FOR REPAIRS <br />TO FIRE STATION NO. 1 AND THE REPLACEMENT OF THE MAIN FRONT DOOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the fire Station No. 1 sustained damage on February 21, 2005 and a claim <br />had been filed with the City’s insurer LMC-IT; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , the main front door is recommended to be replaced with a model that allows <br />proper locking and exiting; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , it has been determined that repairs in the amount of $29,758.75 are to be <br />funded from the city’s insurance fund and the replacement of the main front door in the amount of <br />$8119 is to be funded from the equipment replacement fund. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes to enter into a contract with S&P <br />Construction of St. Paul, Inc. in the amount of $37,877 for repairs of damage sustained on <br />February 21, 2005 and the replacement of the main front door. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec <br /> Councilmember Strommen <br /> Councilmember Elvig <br /> Councilmember Cook <br /> Councilmember Olson <br /> Councilmember Pearson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
