SECTION 01572 <br />MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />A. Section Includes: <br />1. Procedures and equipment for safely maintaining and controlling traffic within the <br />project site during construction. <br />B. Basis of Payment: <br />1. Payment for the maintenance of traffic shall be considered incidental. All associated <br />work items shall be considered incidental. <br />1.02 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Pre -Construction: <br />1. Traffic Control Plan as detailed in 1.07 C. <br />1.03 SEQUENCING AND SCHEDULING <br />A. Restrictions: <br />1. Working hours, including materials and equipment delivery, shall be restricted to: <br />a. Monday thru Friday: 7:00 a.m. — 10:00p.m. <br />b. Saturday: 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. <br />c. Sundays and Holidays: No work allowed. <br />2. Work which interferes with traffic operations, shall not be performed during the <br />following times: <br />a. From 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. - Monday thru Friday inclusive. <br />b. From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - Monday thru Friday inclusive. <br />c. From 12:00 noon on the day before to 9:00 a.m. the day following any <br />consecutive combinations of Saturday, Sunday and legal holiday. <br />C. Traffic Control Plan: <br />1. Content: <br />a. Submit a detailed written traffic control plan for approval on or before the date <br />of the preconstruction meeting. <br />b. Information to be included in the plan: <br />01572 - 1 <br />
