PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on Wednesday, <br />November 7, 1990 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota regarding Mr. Steven Haigh's request for a conditional use permit to operate a retail <br />trophy and plaque business in the R1 Urban Residential District. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner D avid B awden <br />Commissioner Ben Deemer <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Members Absent: Chairman Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Hendriksen called the public hearing to order at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Mr. and Mrs. Steven Haigh were present. Mr. Haigh stated that he is requesting a conditional use <br />permit to start a trophy shop in his home. Mr. Haigh stated that the business will involve minimal <br />traffic and that most of his business will be conducted over the telephone. Persons wishing to <br />order plaques and trophies from him would be picking up their orders at his home or he would be <br />delivering the orders to the purchasers. Mr. Haigh noted that his business is more related to <br />assembly of trophies and plaques versus retail activity. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Bawden and seconded by Commissioner Thorud to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice-Chairman Hendriksen, Commissioners LaDue, Bawden, <br />Deemer, Terry and Thorud. Voting No: None.
