PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman LaDue adjourned the regular meeting at 7:35 p.m. in order to conduct the <br />following public hearing. <br /> <br />Request for a Variance from Thoroughfare Setback and Front Yard <br />Setback; Case of David Haider <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman LaDue called the regular meeting back to order at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman to approve <br />the following: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Board of Adjustment Public Hearing Minutes dated May 25, 1989 regarding Mr. <br />Glenn Rychner's request for a variance from front yard setback requirements. <br /> <br />2) Board of Adjustment Regular Meeting Minutes dated May 25, 1989. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice-Chairman LaDue, Commissioners Deemer, Thorud and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairman Hendriksen, Commissioners Bawden <br />and Terry. <br /> <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request for a Variance from Thoroughfare Setback and Front <br />Yard Setback; Case of Mr. David Haider <br /> <br />Mr. David Haider of 17745 Nowthen Boulevard N.W. was present requesting a variance <br />to construct a 24 x 32 accessory structure closer to the front property line than the principal <br />structure. The accessory structure would also encroach the 110' thoroughfare setback from <br />Nowthen Boulevard N.W. by 30'. Mr. Haider stated that his property is restricted by <br />wetlands, heavy tree growth and uneven topograhpy. <br /> <br />The Board proceeded to review the proposed Findings of Fact relating to Mr. David <br />Haider's request for a variance from thoroughfare and front yard setback requirements. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman to add the <br />following item to the proposed Findings of Fact: <br /> <br />16) That if granted, this variance will not allow Mr. David Haider's accessory structure <br />to be located any closer to the center line of Nowthen Boulevard then accessory structures <br />on neighboring properties are. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice-Chairman LaDue, Commissioners Zimmerman, Thorud <br />and Deemer. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairman Hendriksen, Commissioners Terry <br />and Bawden. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Thorud to adopt <br />Findings of Fact #0273 relating to Mr. David Haider's request for a variance from <br />thoroughfare setback requirements and front yard setback requirements. <br /> <br />Board of Adjustment/June 28, 1990 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
