NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The following City Council meeting minutes were duly noted: <br /> <br />1) <br />2) <br />3) <br />4) <br />5) <br /> <br />City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated April 24, 1990. <br />City Council regular meeting minutes dated May 8, 1990. <br />City Council special joint meeting minutes with Fire Board dated May 9, 1990. <br />City Council special meeting minutes dated May 17, 1990. <br />City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated May 22, 1990. <br /> <br />Project Manager Jim Gromberg was directed by the Economic Development Commission to check <br />on the status of the McKinley Street Extension. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Discussion of Rezoning Proposal. <br /> <br />The Commissioners reviewed the proposed set of guidelines for the Light Industrial District. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Gorecki, seconded and opened for comment by Commissioner Fults for <br />the Economic Development Commission to make contact with the affected property owners. State <br />that it is the intention of the Economic Development Commission to involve them in the road <br />easements and zoning as we are in the initial stages (Invite them to a regular meeting or schedule <br />one at their convenience.). <br /> <br />Comment by Commissioner Fults that a cover letter be sent, telling them what Anoka is asking of <br />US. <br /> <br />As an amendment to the motion, Commissioner Greenberg will hand-carry these letters to their <br />recipients. <br /> <br />Project Manager Jim Gromberg will check on the status of the right-of-way. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairman Wagner, Commissioners Gorecki, Fults, Hardin, Muller <br />and Vevea. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Greenberg, Ippel and Wiley. <br /> <br />The Commission extensively examined the permitted uses outlined in the proposed set of <br />guidelines for the Light Industrial District and made suggestions believed to be necessary. The <br />changes are as follows: <br /> <br />Sub& 2: Permitted Uses <br />Include electronics and computer peripheral manufacturing. <br />Include building materials storage. <br />Include office and warehouse space. <br />BB. Change "Lumber and wood products" to read "Lumber and wood products <br /> manufacturing and assembly". <br /> <br />Subd. 4: Accessory Uses <br />B.
