NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Captain Stuart Olstad gave the report on the drill and presented suggestions on <br />what should be different. <br /> <br />A. Move the tank to the truck. <br />B. More men attending the hose. <br />C. Salvaging should be done prior or after the department is on site. <br />D. SCBA's should be at every drill. <br />E. The tanker should be stored full of water at all times. <br />F. The drop tank spout on drain should always be down hill. <br />G A policy needs to be adopted on the 4-wheel lock in hubs during fire calls or <br /> a~ways. <br /> fire scene should be cleared pn~'~.he action. <br />H. During drills, a more complete search and cleaning of chemicals and non <br /> combustible items should be taken out and not left to burn. <br />L. Always back into the driveway of the water tower when filling the tanker. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />State fire school is being held on May 4, 5, and 6, 1990. Those attending are B. <br />Bachler, J. Drahos, R. Litke, W. Geving, K. Noreen and J. Sharp. A total of fifteen <br />hours per subject. <br /> <br />A discussion on/w~to spend the monies was held. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Jay Guimont and seconded by Mr. Stuart Olstad to sPend two <br />hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) for craftman tools and tool box. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: All members present. <br /> <br />4) LeTourneau's charity drive. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Thomas Hoxter and seconded by Mr. Keith Noreen to have a dunk <br />tank and donate the monies to charity. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: All members present. <br /> <br />A committee was formed to take care of this event consisting of Mr. Steven Engh, <br />Mr. Robert Litke and Mr. David Shappell. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />May 9, 1990 at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Gus Welter will meet with City Staff, Council, <br />Fire Board and firefighters on establishing a Firefighter Relief Association for <br />the Ramsey Fire Department. <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />The firefighters requested that the department/City continue to watch for <br />availability of used pumpers. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1 ) Mr. Joel Drahos reported on the progress and development of the softball team. <br />2 ) A defensive driving course have been posted, please sign-up. <br /> <br />VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT / MARCH 14, 1990 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
