NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Grant, from the City Water Works Department explained what has happened to past <br />hydrants that were used and not notified of usage. The tanker is equipped with a splash <br />cover which must be left open during any discharge. After any usage by the Fire <br />Department it is required that the tanker is left as clean, inside and out, as when it left <br />the station. <br /> <br />Two fire fighters will be sent to Duluth for the Gamma-Goat training classes <br /> <br />1. Fire Calls: <br /> <br />a) Observe all traffic laws when in the fire vehicle. Safety is number one. <br />b) Mutual aid is not available, to be called by Ramsey, at the scene. Elk River <br />or Anoka must call for mutual aid. <br />c) Any individual coming late to the station and receiving pay, should stay at the <br /> station until all trucks return. If there is a previous commitment that <br /> person must be excused by an officer. <br />d) The tanker must stay on hard ground. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Dale McKusick and seconded by Mr. Stuart Olstad to have three <br />people necessary to roll the grass rig except in certain situations during day <br />calls. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: All members present. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Dale McKusick and seconded by Mr. Jayme Spence to roll the car <br />and then the tanker on every call. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: Mr. Jay Guimont. Voting Yes: The rest of the <br />members present. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Tool Box Keys will be kept in Hoeke's office along with the 701 keys. Mr. Keith <br />Noreen will donate a key ring and a tool box. Mr. Jayme Spence suggested that <br />any extra tools that individuals have be brought in and donated for a portable tool <br />box.. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Dale McKusick and seconded by Mr. Steven Engh to post a writing <br />board in the garage against the east wall. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: All members present. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />The Department discussed the proposals for the Fire Board Meeting Dated April <br />16, 1990. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />All new applications for the Fire Department are put on hold until the fire <br />fighters on probation have been determined. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Steve Engh and seconded by Mr. James Sharp to hold all <br />applications until the Retirement Association has been formed. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
