Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #12 -01 -013 <br />A RESOLUTION UPDATING THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) POLICY <br />WITHIN THE PERSONNEL POLICY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has a Personnel Policy which contains several sections, <br />specific to a given topic; and <br />WHEREAS, periodically, it will be necessary to amend the personnel policy to ensure <br />compliance with state and federal laws, as well as current trends, and <br />WHEREAS, continual and progressive changes in the area of information technology, <br />have prompted staff to update the IT Policy; and <br />WHEREAS, the updated policy will serve to inform and provide direction to all users <br />regarding appropriate usage and management of the City's IT systems and resources. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Update the Information Technology (IT) Policy within the Personnel Policy. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Backous, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />None <br />
