Motion carried. <br />7.05: Update on Property Acquisition Related to the Sunwood Drive Realignment Project <br />(IP #12 -20) — Portions of this Case may be Closed to the Public <br />Councilmember Wise declared a conflict of interest and left the meeting at 7:48 p.m. <br />City Engineer Himmer reviewed the staff report. <br />City Attorney Goodrich advised that under Minnesota Statutes, Section 13D.05, Subd.3(c), the <br />meeting can move into closed session to discuss confidential or non - public appraisal data and <br />acquisition negotiations. He indicated closed session discussion will relate to property <br />acquisitions for PIDs #29- 32 -25 -11 -008 Billmark Electric and PID #29 -32 -25 -0011 vacant <br />parcel owned by National Growth. The closed session will be tape recorded and that tape will be <br />maintained for a period of eight years. <br />Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Councilmember Backous, to move to closed <br />session to discuss acquisition negotiations. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers McGlone, Backous, Elvig, <br />Strommen, and Tossey. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Wise. <br />The City Council meeting moved into a closed session at 7:52 p.m. <br />The City Council reconvened in open session at 8:26 p.m. <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated the Council held discussion and no final decision was reached <br />except to direct staff to negotiate a purchase agreement for the purchase of property. <br />City Attorney Goodrich read the resolution in full. <br />Motion by Mayor Ramsey, seconded by McGlone, to adopt Resolution #12- 03 -045A <br />Authorizing Acquisition of Permanent Street and Utility Easements Necessary for the Sunwood <br />Drive Realignment Project. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers McGlone, Backous, Elvig, <br />Strommen, and Tossey. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Wise. <br />8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />Councilmember Wise returned to the meeting at 8:34 p.m. <br />Mayor Ramsey announced upcoming events. <br />City Administrator Ulrich provided an update on pending legislation and announced upcoming <br />meetings. <br />City Council / March 27, 2012 <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />
