Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #12-04-XXX <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL STATE AID STREET SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has adopted a Comprehensive Plan which provides for <br />a system of arterial and collector roadways; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has established a Municipal State Aid System <br />(MSAS) under Chapter 162 of the State Statutes which promotes the construction and <br />maintenance of such an arterial and collector roadway system; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Ramsey to amend the designated <br />MSAS to conform to its changing transportation needs; and <br />WHEREAS, a City Council resolution followed by an order from the Commissioner of <br />Transportation is required when revising the MSAS street system. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the following described streets be revoked from the MSAS: <br />• Non -existing 142nd Avenue, from non -existing Zeolite St. to Traprock St. <br />• Traprock Street, from non -existing 142nd Ave. to Riverdale Dr. <br />• Non -existing Traprock Street, from US 10/169 to Veterans Dr. (formerly Civic <br />Center Dr.). <br />• Non -existing Llama Street, from Riverdale Dr. to non -existing 142nd Ave. <br />2. That the following described streets be added to the MSAS: <br />• Veterans Drive (formerly Civic Center Dr.), from Sunwood Dr. to Rhinestone St. <br />3. That the following described streets be amended on the MSAS: <br />• Non -existing Puma Street, from Bunker Lake Blvd to Bowers Dr. <br />• Non -existing Llama Street, from Bunker Lake Blvd to non -existing Sunwood Dr. <br />4. That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified <br />copies of this resolution to the Commission of Transportation for consideration and, that <br />upon approval of the revisions of said road or portion thereof, that same be constructed, <br />improved and maintained as a part of the MSAS of the City of Ramsey. <br />RESOLUTION 12-04-XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
