1991 PROPOSED BUDGET

REQUEST FOR PART-TIME CERTIFIED TREE INSPECTOR:

An additional pad-time certified Tree Inspector seems necessary for the
increase inspection and field coordination. This would allow the current position
of Environmental Specialist to continue efforts on the increased open-burn
inspections and focus on resident's participation and coordination with disease
control and the chipping program. Approximate cost has been detailed below
under PT Inspector.

REQUEST HOURS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST BE INCREASED
FROM 20 HOURS PER WEEK TO 30 HOURS PER WEEK:

Additional time is needed to accomplish the increase of residents requests. Some
of these tasks include tree disease control; open-burning inspections;
neighborhood, community, liaison and technical meetings; in-house Community
Development assignments, memos, filing, grant proposals, and ordinances. The
additional cost for the 10 hours that have been proposed for the position to the
City have been detailed below

Personal

Services:

41001
41002
41003
410O4
41O21
41O22
41 023
41031
41042
41O51
Total Personal

Regular Employees
Regutar Employees OT
Part-time Employees
Part-time Employees OT
PERA Contribution
FICA Contribution
Medicare Contribution
Group Insurance
Unemployment Comp.
Workers' Compensation
Services:

PT Inspector
None
None
$8,986
None
$4O2.57
$674.85
None
None
None
$737.19
$10,801

Increase of Hours
None
None
$5,091
None
$228.08
$382.33
None
$2,340
None
$254.55
$8,296

Additional Cost to the City
(not previously budgeted)

$1o,8ol

~8,296
