Councilmember Backous introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #12 -04 -045 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL STATE AID STREET SYSTEM WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has adopted a Comprehensive Plan which provides for a system of arterial and collector roadways; and WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has established a Municipal State Aid System (MSAS) under Chapter 162 of the State Statutes which promotes the construction and maintenance of such an arterial and collector roadway system; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Ramsey to amend the designated MSAS to conform to its changing transportation needs; and WHEREAS, a City Council resolution followed by an order from the Commissioner of Transportation is required when revising the MSAS street system. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the following described streets be revoked from the MSAS: • Non - existing 142 Avenue, from non - existing Zeolite St. to Traprock St. • Traprock Street, from non - existing 142 Ave. to Riverdale Dr. • Non - existing Traprock Street, from US 10/169 to Veterans Dr. (formerly Civic Center Dr.). • Non - existing Llama Street, from Riverdale Dr. to non - existing 142n Ave. 2. That the following described streets be added to the MSAS: • Veterans Drive (formerly Civic Center Dr.), from Sunwood Dr. to Rhinestone St. 3. That the following described streets be amended on the MSAS: • Non - existing Puma Street, from Bunker Lake Blvd to Bowers Dr. • Non - existing Llama Street, from Bunker Lake Blvd to non - existing Sunwood Dr. 4. That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the Commission of Transportation for consideration and, that upon approval of the revisions of said road or portion thereof, that same be constructed, improved and maintained as a part of the MSAS of the City of Ramsey.
