It appears a table sponsorship <br />(10) is $2,000 — individual tickets are $175 or there is a "Crash the Ball" ticket for $25, which is <br />an after party with live music, dancing, appetizers and cash bar. <br />Reminder: April 21, 2012, 9:00 a.m. Bark for Life — A Canine Event to Fight Cancer, located <br />at The Draw within The COR at Ramsey. <br />Reminder: April 22, 2012, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Annual Pet Clinic, located at Ramsey Fire <br />Station #2, 15153 Nowthen Blvd NW. A licensed Minnesota veterinarian will be on -site to <br />provide free examinations and discounted vaccinations to dogs and cats. Ramsey staff will also <br />be on hand to provide free dog and cat licenses. <br />Reminder: April 28, 2012, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Ramsey Business Expo and Environmental <br />Expo Events (see below). <br />Council Update <br />Public Works Director Resigned. Congratulations to Public Works Director Brian Olson, who <br />has accepted a position with the City of Edina as Public Works Director. Attached to the Weekly <br />Update is Brian's letter of resignation. His last day at Ramsey will be May 15. Staff will be <br />reviewing options for covering the duties of this position and will bring to the Personnel <br />Committee for discussion in the near future Our thanks and best wishes to Brian as he begins an <br />exciting new chapter in his career. <br />Thank you from Heidi Nelson. Staff received a thank you note from former Deputy City <br />Administrator Nelson for the farewell party, card, gifts, etc. Attached to the Weekly update is <br />the thank you card from Heidi. <br />North American Joint Purchasing Program gives dividend of $200.53 to City. The City of <br />Ramsey is a member of the North American Joint Purchasing Program which is sponsored by the <br />North Metro Mayors Association. For year ending December 2011, the City received a dividend <br />check that was earned on purchasing office products and paint through this program The City <br />hopes to expand this dividend in 2012 as more products and services become available through <br />this program. A good example of cities working together to save money. <br />Ramsey Business Expo and Environmental Expo Events. The 4 annual Ramsey Business <br />Expo, together with the Ramsey Environmental Expo, will be held on Saturday, April 28, from <br />9am to 2pm. The Business Expo will be at the Fountains of Ramsey and the Environmental <br />Expo will be at the Municipal Center (Expo inside and Pre -Order Tree Pick Up on north side of <br />Sunwood Dr, along gravel road to pump house). The two programs are designed to increase <br />environmental awareness and to promote growth in our local economy. <br />
