The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded the city of Ramsey the <br />Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. This is the 16th consecutive <br />year (1994-2010) the city of Ramsey has received this distinguished award. Established in 1945, <br />Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program encourages <br />government entities to go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting <br />principles to prepare comprehensive annual financial reports that promote transparency and full <br />disclosure. The city of Ramsey is one of only 96 other Minnesota cities to receive this <br />recognition for reporting year 2010 positioning the city in an elite group of government entities <br />with superior reporting practices.
