Councilmember Backous introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #12 -05 -059 <br />TO PROHIBIT PARKING ON ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD NW (CSAH 83), FROM TRUNK <br />HIGHWAY 10 TO SUNWOOD DRIVE NW, IN THE CITY OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA FOR <br />STATE AID PROJECT 199- 020 -010 (CIP #12 -20) <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey and Anoka County have planned the improvement of <br />Armstrong Boulevard NW, State Aid Route No. 199 - 020 -010 from Trunk Highway 10 to <br />Sunwood Drive NW in the City of Ramsey, Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey and Anoka County will be expending State Aid Funds <br />on the improvement of this street; and <br />WHEREAS, this improvement does not provide adequate width for parking on both <br />sides of the street; and approval of the proposed construction as a Municipal State Aid Street <br />project must therefore be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />That the City of Ramsey shall ban the parking of motor vehicles on both sides of Armstrong <br />Boulevard NW, from Trunk Highway 10 to Sunwood Drive NW at all times. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Tossey and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />
