List any government, service organization, or professional activities which you have been or are <br />currently involved in: <br />City of Ramsey Towne Center State of Minnesota Governor's Task Force on Professional <br />Basketball, 1992 Super Bowl VIP/Promotions Committees, 1991 NCAA Final Four Committee, <br />2005 Transplant Games (U of Minnesota), Schwans Cup Youth Soccer Volunteer (thru Qwest <br />Communication community services) <br />Please briefly state why you want to serve on a City board or commission: <br />To give back to the community and help shape its foundation for the near future <br />List any special background, strengths, or abilities you would bring to a board or commission: <br />Leadership, communication and promoting skills <br />Briefly describe the strengths of Ramsey today: <br />Suburban living yet very close to urban center. City with a lot of potential to be one of the <br />largest growing communities in the metropolitan area. <br />Briefly describe the weaknesses of Ramsey today: <br />Bad publicity with failures of Towne Center development and community parking ramp <br />with little usage (this will change with Northstar station coming in shortly) <br />Briefly describe Ramsey as you believe it should be 10 years from now: <br />Double in population yet still able to sustain itself with little or no increase of taxes for <br />citizens. With aging population we must also have in place facilities, activities and <br />transportation for seniors. With Northstar service stopping in Ramsey I see future business <br />development as being good if promoted the right way <br />List any specific goals and/or objectives you visualize for the City: <br />Continued development of jobs, transportation and recreational facilities. We still need to <br />keep focus on maintaining the city's natural resources (trees, ponds and streams) with future real <br />estate development <br />Have you ever served on a board or commission?
