Councilmember <br />adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />RESOLUTION #12-05-XXX <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CITY PROJECT 12-24, <br />2012 STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS — DIVISION B <br />WHEREAS, on September 11, 2011 the Ramsey City Council authorized City staff to prepare <br />plans and specifications to improve drainage within various areas of the City associated with heavy rains <br />in the summer of 2011; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has investigated and included other various storm sewer improvements <br />necessary to complete the pending 2012 Street Maintenance Program, as presented to the Ramsey City <br />Council on March 13, 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, additional storm sewer improvements were added to the project plans by the <br />Ramsey City Council on April 10, 2012, also as a result of the heavy rains in the summer of 2011; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a solicitation for quotes for City Improvement Project 12-24; 2012 <br />Storm Sewer Improvement Projects — Division B, quotes were received, opened and tabulated according <br />to law; and <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the quotes that were received: <br />Contractor Total Bid <br />WHEREAS, XXX is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with XXX for City Improvement Project 12-24; 2012 Storm Sewer Improvement Projects — Division <br />B, in the amount of $XXX, and <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />RESOLUTION #10-10-230 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
