Absent: Mayor Reimann. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT (CONTINUED) <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich referred to Mr. Douglas Fountain's inquiries raised during Citizen Input <br />regarding when property owners are eligible to receive up to $500 for obtaining second <br />appraisals on property proposed to be acquired for the extension of 153rd. Mr. Goodrich <br />stated that according to law, the City may not offer property owners funds with which to <br />obtain a second appraisal until after condemnation proceedings have been initiated. Mr. <br />Goodrich also noted that the City is not obligated to provide those funds and the City will <br />not authorize spending $500 for a second appraisal on small parcels of land to be acquired. <br /> <br />Case #12: Second Year Ramsey Brush Chipping Demonstration Program: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart presented a resolution for Council consideration to formally accept the <br />demonstration grant from the Metropolitan Council for a second year brush chipping <br />program in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cich stated that based on the first year's program, the following items <br />should be accomplished this year: 1) Accountability in services received; 2) Operations <br />based on priority lists versus services needed per neighborhood; 3) A central chip disposal <br />site for city or citizen use; 4) Coordinate and plan chip sites with the Parks supervisor. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by C°uncilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution #90-03-072 accepting the demonstration grant agreement between the <br />Metropolitan Council and City of Ramsey (second year Ramsey brush chipping <br />demonstration program). <br /> <br />Motion carded. Absent: Mayor Reimann. <br /> <br />Case #13: <br /> <br />Letter And Proposed Resolution From Anoka County <br />Regarding Community Development Week: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart stated that Anoka County is recognizing national Community Development <br />Week and giving credit to cities for participating with the County in the Community <br />Development Block Grant program. Mr. Banwart noted that the County has supplied a <br />sample resolution to support Community Development Week and the Community <br />Development Block Grant Program. <br /> <br />Motion by Acting Mayor Peterson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adopt <br />Resolution #90-03-073 supporting the County's resolution to recognize April 7 - 14, 1990 <br />as National Community Development Week and support of Community Development <br />Block Grant Programs. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Acting Mayor Peterson directed City Staff to draft a city-initiated <br />resolution for Council consideration that designates Community Development Week. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
