Councilmember Backous introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #12 -05 -062 <br />RESOLUTION TO REVISE THE VACATION DONATION POLICY WITHIN THE <br />PERSONNEL POLICY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has a Vacation Donation Policy; and <br />WHEREAS; it has been determined that the policy can be improved by removing the <br />requirement that employees be actively covered by the Family Medical Leave Act; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Administrator must approve each vacation donation request; and <br />WHEREAS, the updated policy will better serve employees during times of a serious <br />medical condition; and <br />City. <br />WHEREAS, the updated policy does not require additional funding on behalf of the <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Revise the Vacation Donation Policy within the Personnel Policy. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Tossey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />
