Councilmember Backous introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #12 -05 -061 <br />CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A RECRUITMENT FOR A <br />MANAGEMENT ANALYST <br />WHEREAS, the City recently accepted the resignation of two full -time employees; the <br />Deputy City Administrator /Community Development Director and the Economic Development/ <br />Marketing Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, staff was authorized to begin an internal recruitment process for a full -time <br />regular Management Analyst to work under the general direction of the City Administrator <br />assisting Administrative Services and the Planning Division; and <br />WHEREAS, the City conducted an internal recruitment and the City Administrator <br />recommends hiring Mr. Patrick Brama, the City's current Planning/Management Intern, as the <br />new full -time regular Management Analyst; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Brama will begin his new position on May 9, 2012 and will be subject <br />to a 6 -month probation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />1) Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />• Hire Patrick Brama as the City's full -time regular Management Analyst, effective <br />May 9, 2012, at an hourly wage of $20.50. All other personnel policies will apply <br />normally. <br />• Eliminate the Planning /Management Intern position. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Tossey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
