Mr. Bray explained that the HRA has specific authority for acquisition of land for development <br />and redevelopment, which is why they will actually purchase the property, not the City. <br />Councilmember Dehen stated that the HRA provides the vehicle for the purchase since the <br />Council cannot itself purchase. <br />Mr. Bray stated that the City could acquire it, if they chose, but this is what HRA's do and it just <br />made more sense. <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />None <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Look, to adjourn the Special <br />City Council Meeting. <br />Motion carried.
