MINUTES Minutes were read, motion was made to accept the minutes by Keith Noreen and seconded by Dean Kapler. Voting Yes: All present. Voting No: None. NEW BUSINESS Chief Hoeke read the letter from General Safety Equipment Corporation stating that the delivery of our fire trucks would be approximately May 15 to July 15, 1990. The topic of expediting delivery on the pumper truck and using the City tanker was raised. This topic was tabled until next Department meeting. Dean Kapler reported on the progress of the house burn in Oak Grove, the drill work with both Level I and Level II type burns. Chief Hoeke would like to see fire fighters making inspections on recreational fire rings and pits. The rules and regulations will be defined to the fire fighters in the future. OLD BUSINESS All fire fighters who have not yet been fitted for uniforms must do so within the next week. All fire fighters must go through the defensive driving training sometime in the future as per the City insurance company. All turn-out gear that has been on loan from other departments must be returned and put in the hose tower. The Truck Committee reported that the grass rig should be ready by June 15. The Communications Committee reported that the county will be testing our frequency and be reminding fire fighters of drills and meetings. The Fund Raisers Committee reported that we will be able to use the Permit from the Ramsey Lions. They will collect the money and draw the tickets, however the fire fighters will be selling the tickets. A flyer was passed around describing the First Annual Ramsey Volunteer Fire Department Softball Tournament. The Fire Department quarters redesign bids were opened and as things progress with this the Chief will keep the Department informed.
