NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Elected officials for the Retirement Association: <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Hoeke and seconded by Mr. LaTour that Jay Guimont be elected President. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: All members present. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Guimont and seconded by Mr. Axt that Mr. Tom Hoxter be elected Vice- <br />President. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: All members present. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Hoeke and seconded by Mr. Wilson that Joel Drahos be elected Secretary. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: All members present. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Williams and seconded by Mr. Hoxter that Mr. Jamie Spence be elected <br />Treasurer. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: All members present. <br /> <br />A new member application was presented to the department and it was decided to accept the <br />application. <br /> <br />The Fire Department Members were informed that Ham Lake is having a 4th Annual Community <br />Dance on August 19, 1989 at 8:00 p.m. the cost is $2.00 per person. They were also informed <br />that Ham Lake is hosting the annual Waterball Tournament on September 9, 1989 at the East <br />bethel Fire Department. Any teams interested should inform the East Bethel Fire Department. <br /> <br />Chief Hoeke commented on how well the response times were on previous calls and stressed the <br />safety cautions for transportation to and from the Fire Department. <br /> <br />The Department was informed that a fire fighter class will be beginning on September 14, <br />1989 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All requiring this course should notify Chief Hoeke. <br /> <br />During all calls only the First three members will respond in the Grass Rig, the fourth member <br />will man the radio, the next group will travel in the automobiles. After the automobile has left <br />the station any Fire Fighter responding to the station will remain there until more assistance is <br />required or until the rig is back and clean in the station. <br /> <br />The City is having a staff golf outing and barbecue on August 25, 1989 and all fire fighters are <br />welcome. All those interested should sign their names to the list being passed around. <br /> <br />The chief requested a committee to be formed for the 1 year of service and the badge <br />presentation that will be held October 4, 1989. <br /> <br />VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT/AUGUST 9, 1989 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
