payments for current services that are delinquent as of September 1 of each year. This is the <br />eighth year-that the City of Ramsey will be certifying delinquent payments as assessments to be <br />collected with property taxes payable in 2004. The total of delinquent payments as of the writing <br />of this case was $16,392.95, which includes penalties and interest. This amount is anticipated to <br />change after collections through September 23, 2003, are posted. The new amount will be the <br />amount to be included in the resolution for certification. Any payments received after September <br />23, 2003, and through November 7, 2003, will be indicated as "prepaid" when the list is <br />transmitted to Anoka County for certification. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion to by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Elvig, Kurak, Cook, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public heating closed at 7:24 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:24 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig suggested the City not enter into on-going negotiations for lots or benefits <br />for new industrial properties if the people have outstanding bills such as this. <br /> <br />Motion <br />09-249 <br />include <br />Current <br /> <br />by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Resolution #03- <br />Adopting Assessments for Past-Due Charges on Municipal Utility Bills [which may <br />water, sewer, street lighting, recycling, storm water charges and penalties incurred] and <br />Services Rendered. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Elvig, Cook, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman.
