Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-11- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FROM DON VOLNER FOR AN <br />OVERSIZED DETACHED ACCESSORY BUILDING ON PROPERTIES LOCATED <br />OUTSIDE THE METROPOLITAN URBAN SERVICE AREA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Don Volner, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant," has properly applied <br />for a Conditional Use Permit for an oversized detached accessory building on properties located <br />outside the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) on the property generally known as 8121 <br />154th Avenue NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 4, Block 13, Whispering Pines Estates, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />("Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on November 6, 2003, and that-said public <br />hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />2. That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Single Family Residential, and is located outside the <br /> Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA). <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property is surrounded by properties also zoned R~I Single Family <br /> Residential. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 0.86 acres (37,464 square feet) in size. <br /> <br />5. That City Code restricts the Subject Property to a total of 1,488 square feet of accessory <br /> building space. <br /> <br />6. That the Applicant currently has 676 square feet of accessory building space on the Subject. <br /> Property (a 12' x 16' shed and a 22' x 22' attached garaged). <br /> <br />That the Applicant is proposing to construct a detached accessory structure totaling 1,820 <br />square feet (28' x 65') resulting in a total of 2,496 square feet of accessory building space on <br />the Subject Property. The result is a 1,008 square foot overage in the 1,488 square foot limit. <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br /> <br />
