CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Ramsey reordered the agenda to first consider Item 2.03. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.03: Street Light Installation Contract with Connexus Energy for Sunwood Drive <br />Realignment <br />Interim Engineer Wagner reviewed the staff report. <br />Mayor Ramsey stated he had asked Finance Director Lund about the proposal and cost to power <br />the lights and maintenance. He noted the lights being used now are 70 to 100 watt and may use a <br />bit more wattage than that for other components. Mayor Ramsey reviewed the Connexus <br />proposal, noting if a Metal Halide uses 100 Watts on average, the cost would be $513.92 at 11 <br />cents/kilowatt. He asked what is the kilowatt rate and if it would be better for the City to have a <br />metered use. Mayor Ramsey pointed out the cost difference is only $281 /month for lighting with <br />LED and maintenance would be minimal. <br />Leo Offerman, Connexus Energy Key Account Representative, stated Mayor Ramsey has raised <br />good and valid questions.
