CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember Randy Backous <br />Councilmember David Elvig (arrived at 6:31 p.m.) <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br />Member Absent: Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Also Present: City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Finance Director Diana Lund <br />Police Chief James Way <br />Human Resources Representative Colleen Lasher <br />City Engineer Tim Himmer <br />Street Supervisor Grant Reimer <br />Senior Planner Tim Gladhill <br />Management Analyst Patrick Brama <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:04 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: Continued Discussion of 2013 Budget & Strategic Goals <br />Finance Director Lund reviewed the staff report. <br />Councilmember McGlone stated his understanding the Charter Commission changed the <br />newsletter requirement to a minimum of four or up to six. <br />City Administrator Ulrich indicated the Charter Commission is holding additional discussion on <br />that issue and has requested additional information from the City Attorney. <br />Mayor Ramsey noted the intent was to make the newsletter a better publication and have the <br />advertisement sales pay for its publication. <br />City Council Work Session / June 19, 2012 <br />Page 1 of 15 <br />
