Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION #12-06-XXX RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #12-20; SUNWOOD DRIVE REALIGNMENT WHEREAS, on June 28, 2011 the Ramsey Housing and Redevelopment Authority awarded an engineering services contract to Landform Professional Services to complete the necessary Ramsey Town Center AUAR updates, and prepare of a feasibility study for the realignment of Sunwood Drive NW; and WHEREAS, on July 26, 2011 the Ramsey City Council awarded an engineering services contract to WSB & Associates to prepare a feasibility study for the portion of the Sunwood Drive realignment contained within Anoka County right-of-way, and assist in completing updates to the existing Ramsey Town Center AUAR; and WHEREAS, on January 24, 2012 the Ramsey City Council accepted the feasibility studies and called for the preparation of plans and specifications for City Improvement Project #12-20; Sunwood Drive Realignment; and WHEREAS, on May 22, 2012 the Ramsey City Council accepted the plans and specifications and authorized the solicitation of bids; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for City Improvement Project 12-20; Sunwood Drive Realignment, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the bids that were received: Contractor Bid Engineer's Estimate $2,935,000.00 WHEREAS, XXX is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with XXX for Improvement Project 12-20; Sunwood Drive Realignment in the amount of $XXX, and 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids.
