1 ORDINANCE #12- <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 CITY OF RAMSEY <br />5 ANOKA COUNTY <br />6 STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 117 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND <br />11 SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SECTION 117-114a (SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND PERFORMANCE <br />15 STANDARDS FOR BUSINESS DISTRICTS) OF CHAPTER 117 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE. <br />16 <br />17 The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />18 <br />19 SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br />20 <br />21 This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of Ramsey. <br />22 <br />23 SECTON 2 AMENDMENTS <br />24 <br />25 City Code Section 117-114a is hereby added as follows (additions indicated as underline. deletions <br />26 indicated as sic thtabh): <br />27 <br />28 Sec. 117.114a Special Requirements and Performance Standards for B-1. B-2 and B-3 Zoning District. <br />29 <br />30 (a) Building Materials and Design: The architectural appearance, including building character, <br />31 permanence, massing, density and composition, scale, construction materials, and functional <br />32 plan of all principal buildings shall comply with the Comprehensive Plan. Building materials shall <br />33 be attractive in appearance, of a durable finish, and be of a quality that is compatible and <br />34 designed to enhance the lot, the neighborhood and the community. All buildings shall be of <br />35 good aesthetic and architectural quality to ensure they will maintain and enhance the property <br />36 values of neighboring properties and not adversely impact the community's public health, safety <br />37 and generaI welfare. This section applies to all B-1, B-2 and B-3 zoning districts. <br />38 (1) Building Materials: All exterior wall finishes on any building in a Business District shall <br />39 be: <br />40 a. Face brick: <br />41 b.Stucco: <br />42 c. Glass: <br />43 <br />44 <br />d.Wood, provided surfaces are finished for exterior use and wood is of proven <br />exterior durability. <br />45 e.Natural Stone: <br />
