CC Regular Session 4. 3. <br />Meeting Date: 09/11/2012 <br />By: Tim Gladhill, Community Development <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Consider Extension to Site Plan Approval for Legacy Christian Academy; Case of Hageman Holdings, LLC <br />Background: <br />On November 23, 2012, the City Council granted Site Plan Approval to Legacy Christian Academy, a 225,000 <br />square foot private - school on an approximately 90 acre campus. The site plan was approved as part of the ALPHA <br />DEVELOPMENT plat. The necessary public improvements appear to have been completed, subject to final review <br />by the City Engineer, and include Bunker Lake Boulevard and Puma Street. The Subject Property has been graded <br />and is ready to build the planned facility. <br />In order to finalize details on project phasing and financing, the Developer is requesting an extension to the site <br />plan approval. In June of 2011, the Development Contract was amended to address the timeline for completion of <br />the required Stage I and Stage II Improvements. At this time, as stated above, those improvements have been <br />completed. This request is specific to the private site plan improvements. Site Plan approvals are afforded one (1) <br />year to complete improvements, with the ability for extensions. Extensions have typically been granted in one (1) <br />year increments. <br />Since site plans are approved by motion, no resolution is required to extend a site plan approval. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends granting an extension to Site Plan Approval for Legacy Christian Academy for a term of one (1) <br />year, giving the Developer until November 23, 2012 to complete the project.
