action plans with one councilmember being assigned to each team. <br /> <br />Council consensus was that the proposed action plans and task forces merit more <br />discussion and the case should be tabled until the next regular Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Appointment Of City Councilmember To Serve On Econo~i¢ <br /> Development Commission Subcommittee Re~ardin~ Business Incubator <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />appoint Councilmember Cox to serve on the subcommittee to review the business <br />incubator facility proposal. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #257 Purchase Of Used Water Truck And Tank: <br /> <br />Public Works Superintendent Mevissen stated that he has located a used truck <br />and tank that will meet the City's needs; the cost is $17,000. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to table this <br />case until the next Council meeting to allow for the opportunity to discuss the <br />matter further with Mr. Mevissen. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mississippi Park Acquisition Proposal; <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that without any knowledge to Ramsey or affected <br />property owners, the County put together a proposal to purchase prime Ramsey <br />property to be developed as park land. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann directing <br />that a letter be forwarded to Anoka County and the Metro Council expressing <br />Ramsey's concern regarding the action taken by Anoka County without prior <br />knowledge to those affected; further, it should be noted that a resolution is <br />forthcoming also expressing Ramsey's concern. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Alternate Alignment Consideration For The Proposed Imprpyeme~ <br /> To G~teway North Industrial Airport: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the alternate runway alignment has been reviewed and <br />airspace approval has been received with a statement saying that going with the <br />alternate alignment would raise flight levels at the airport; there are pros <br />and cons to the alternate alignment that should be reviewed carefully. <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel stated that raising the flight levels decreases the number of <br /> May 27, 1986 <br /> <br />Page 17 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
