share for a solution. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 9:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Reimann called the meeting back to order at 9:25 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that staff will have draft ordinances reflecting <br />Councilmember Cox's suggestion available at the August 26 Council meeting for <br />review. <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel noted that if all new development must provide for their storm sewer <br />drainage, then they have the right to be excluded from a taxing district; only <br />the existing neighborhoods will be left in a district to pay for improvements. <br /> <br />Request For A Conditional Use Permit To Operate A Manufacturing <br /> Operation In A Business District: Case Of ParabodY. <br /> <br />Mr. Steve Duncan and Mr. Jerry Derringer were present were present requesting a <br />conditional use permit to operate amnufacturing business in the B-1 Business <br />District (old Kovar building). Ms. Norris stated that Planning and Zoning <br />recommends approval of the request. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to adopt <br />Findings of Fact 0144 relating to a request by Parabody, Inc. for a conditional <br />use permit to operate a manufacturing business in a B-1 Business District. <br />(Please refer to findings of fact file for Findings of Fact 0144). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Cox and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Request For Street Improvements To 153rd Lane NW From Rhinestone <br /> %o Ramsey Blvd.: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City received the petition around June 11, 1986, a <br />time period which exceeded the deadline for requesting improvements. Staff did <br />not forward the petition because Council decided not to proceed with another <br />similar petition during that same time frame. Two of the property owners did <br />not sign the petition. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he knew a majority of the residents on this <br />portion of 153rd want the improvement and he informed them that now would be a <br />good time to get those improvements because oil and interest costs are down. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that earlier today Councilmember Cox inquired if the 60 day <br />waiting period can be waived; it can be waived if there has been a petition of <br />100% of the affected properties requesting the project.
