ORDINANCE #12 -15 CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 6 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS KNOWN AS THE ALCO- HOLIC BEVERAGES CHAPTER OF THE RAMSEY, MINNESOTA CITY CODE. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, ARTICLE I, In General - Section 6 -4 Consump- tion in public places. The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1. AUTHORITY This ordinance is adopted pursu- ant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of Ramsey. SECTION 2. REPEAL Article 1, Section 6 -4 Consump- tion in public places of the City Code is hereby repealed and replaced with the following new Article 1, Section 6 -4 Consumption in public places. SECTION 3. AMENDMENTS CHAPTER 6 ARTICLE 1 - ALCOHOLIC BEVER- AGES DIVISION 1. - GENERALLY Sec. 6 -4. - Consumption in pub- lic places. The following words will be added to Section 6 -4: Except by per- mit or license. Except by permit or license, no person shall consume intoxicating liquor or 3.2 percent malt liquor in a public park, on any public street, sidewalk, parking lot or alley, or in any public place other than on the premises of an establishment licensed under this chapter or where the con- sumption and display of liquor is lawfully permitted. SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance becomes effec- tive upon its passage and thirty (30) days after its publication according to law, subject to City Charter Provision, Section 5.7.
