PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Wednesday, November 12, <br />1986 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember Steve DeLuca <br />Coun¢ilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg (arrived 7:41 p.m.) <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the special Council meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. and led <br />in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to approve <br />the agenda as submitted with the following adjustment: <br /> <br />Case #2 - Update on the need for a culvert at 156th Avenuw NW and Hematite <br />Street NW - To be handled as the first order of business. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Schlueter and DeLuca. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Update On The Need For A Culvert At 156th Avenue NW And Hematit~ <br /> Street NW: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that Staff had reviewed the request for culvert placement at <br />156th Avenue and Hematite and at the last regular Council meeting recommended <br />that the culvert be approved. Mr. Hartley stated that both sides of the road <br />have wet areas and the natural flow of water is intersected by the road. North <br />of 156th there is a ditch that appears to have been man-made years ago that <br />ties into the County ditch and then directs toward the Rum River. The outlet <br />does not appear to be of an improved nature; a free flow of water is not <br />expected with the addition of a culvert but the water levels on both sides of <br />Sp Council/November 12, 1986 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
