Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #12 -07 -112 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 1 PARTIAL PAYMENT TO DRYDEN EXCAVATING INC <br />FOR IP 12 -24; 2012 STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS - DIVISION A <br />WHEREAS, on September 11, 2011 the Ramsey City Council authorized City staff to prepare <br />plans and specifications to improve drainage within various areas of the City associated with heavy rains <br />in the summer of 2011; and <br />WHEREAS, additional storm sewer improvements were added to the project plans by the <br />Ramsey City Council on April 10, 2012, also as a result of the heavy rains in the summer of 2011; and <br />WHEREAS, an emergency culvert repair was discovered on Wolfram Street NW, that provides <br />a drainage way for County Ditch #66, on May 11, 2012 and incorporated into the plan set via addendum; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, as of July 24, 2012 $0 has been paid to date; and <br />WHEREAS, Civil Engineer II, Leonard Linton has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Dryden Excavating in the amount of $150,834.89. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Dryden Excavating Inc. for <br />Improvement Project #12 -24; 2012 Storm Sewer Improvements in the amount of $150,834.89. <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator <br />to sign the release form for this payment. <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br />for the date of July 24, 2012. <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Wise and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Wise <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember Wise <br />RESOLUTION #12 -07 -112 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
