This type of design is something that the County has performed on many projects throughout the county and have <br />experienced great results in both efficient movement of traffic and safety. Another example of this type of configuration <br />that has been working well is the intersection of Hanson Blvd. and Bunker Lake Blvd: U-Turns are an allowable traffic <br />movement at the intersections and also a safe alternative given the protected left turn lane. This allows the U-turn <br />traffic to not contend with the traffic traveling through the intersection. <br />We understand that these are probably not the answers that you were looking for with your request, but we hope that <br />you understand our reasoning. <br />Charles M.
