c. Discussion regarding Keeping of Horses ordinance <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson noted that Commissioner Shumway has requested meeting with <br />City Council to review the proposed amendment to the horse ordinance that was denied by <br />Council in 1988. <br /> <br />Council directed that review of the proposed horse ordinance amendment be placed on the <br />agenda for the February 22 workshop. <br /> <br />d. Business Expo <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca stated that he participated in the Business Expo in Anoka as a <br />representative of the Ramsey Economic Development Corporation. One of the displays <br />included a map showing Ramsey's preferred alignment for a new Mississippi River Bridge <br />crossing; all visitors to the booth were very supportive of the proposed alignment. <br /> <br />e. Northern Mayors Association <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley reported that he has been appointed Chairman of the Northern Mayors <br />Association Transportation Committee. <br /> <br />f. Status of Ramsey/Anoka Committee <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann inquired as to the status of scheduling a meeting with Anoka to discuss the <br />extension of McKinley Street. Mr. Banwart replied that the Anoka Community <br />Development Director has indicated that Anoka will be available for a meeting after March <br />20. <br /> <br />g. Wood Chipping Program <br /> <br />Councilmember Cich stated that he has been informed by Mr. Bruce Bacon that the City <br />has been awarded a $50,000 grant for a wood chipping program. <br /> <br />h. Parking Lot Lighting at City Hall parking lot <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson stated that he has received several complimentary comments <br />regarding the recent lighting improvements in the City Hall parking lot. <br /> <br />i. Upcoming meetings <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart noted the following: a) February 22 - Council/P&Z/Parks joint workshop <br />regarding park dedication requirements; b) March 2 - Council/P&7_IPark joint meeting <br />regarding park dedication requriements for the entire Northfork subdivision and <br />Countryside Estates; c) March 15 - Council/P&Z workshop regarding transportation <br />issues. <br /> <br />City Council/February 14, 1989 <br /> Page 13 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
