remodeling proposed for the lower level of Ramsey Municipal Ccntcr. <br /> <br />Case #10: Report From Personnel Committee: <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann reported that the Personnel Committee is recommending offering the <br />position of City Assessor to Gerald Kramber at a starting salary of $24,000/year. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt <br />Resolution #89-03-50 offering the position of City Assessor to Mr. Gerald Kramber at a <br />beginning salary of $24,000/year. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cich, Pearson, DeLuca <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11: Consider Fire Protection Contract With The City Of Elk River <br /> For Services Of Their Fire Department: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to enter into the <br />1989 fn'e contract with the City of Elk River for fire protection services. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #12: MUSA Expansion Update: <br /> <br />Mr. Otto stated that the City Staff meeting with Metro Council regarding Ramsey's <br />proposed expansion of it's MUSA area has been postponed until March 21, 1989. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />a) River clean-up <br /> <br /> Mr. Hartley reported that County Commissioner Steffen has emphasized her desire <br /> for Ramsey's participation in a Rum River clean-up project. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reimann read a letter he is proposing to send to Governor Perpich indicating <br /> that Ramsey is not interested in participating in a river clean-up project but is <br /> playing a leading role in other projects to clean up the environment. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reimann suggested that in the interest of maintaing a good working <br /> relationship with Commissioner Steffen, additional information be obtained <br /> regarding her plans for a Rum River clean-up project. <br /> <br />b) City Council/Developer Workshop <br /> <br /> Council scheduled a workshop for Monday, April 3, 1989 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramsey <br /> Municipal Center to discuss developer concerns with platting procedures. <br /> <br />c) Status of environmental assessment worksheet for Cedar Hills, Chestnut Hills and <br /> Windemere Woods <br /> <br />City Council/March 14, 1989 <br /> Page 12 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
