Mayor Reimann called the regular meeting back to order at 7:57 p.m. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to approve <br />the following items contained in the Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />1) License Applications as noted. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution #89-04-61 approving first half bills for April, 1989 in the amount <br />of $872,158.76. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution #89-04-62 approving purchase of radio equipment for the <br />volunteer fire department. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution #89-04-63 approving abatement of a special assessment payment <br />and an addition to the tax rolls for a special assessment removed due to clerical <br />error. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution #89-04-64 reaffirming desire for a Ramsey/Dayton Mississippi <br />River Bridge crossing, directing Staff to revise it's City plans, and directing Staff to <br />proceed with solicitation of support to effectuate the development and <br />implementation of a Ramsey/Dayton Mississippi River Bridge crossing. <br /> <br />6) Inu'oduce ordinance regulating the use of alarms and warning devices. <br /> <br />7) <br /> <br />Accept resignation of Mr. John Lichter from the Park & Recreation Commission <br />and authorize advertising to fill the vacancy. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case gl: Consider Ordering Trunk Storm Sewer Project For Sunfish <br /> Lake Blvd. N.W. and T.H. No. 10; Improvement Project #88- <br /> 27: <br /> <br />Council and staff discussed the flooding conditions that occurred in years 1984, 85 and 86 <br />along Hwy. #10 caused by the highway acting as a damn to drainage flow from the north <br />side of Hwy. #10 to the south side. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adopt <br />Resolution #89-04-65 ordering improvement and preparation of plans and specifications <br />for Trunk Storm Sewer Improvement Project #88-27. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that aerial photos are available indicating groundwater levels in wet <br />years. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca noted that elevations were also taken that indicate Hwy. #10 is <br /> <br />City Council/April 11, 1989 <br /> Page 4 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
