Mr. Bauer stated at the work session he asked to improve the road at his expense, and he would <br />maintain the road as well. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon stated they would make sure in the <br />developer's agreement that language is clear. <br /> <br />Francis Koss, 7155 160th Lane stated when he bought his home they were told it was a half-size <br />cul-de-sac, and if they were to do any improvements or developing it would have to be a full-size <br />cul-de-sac. He asked if Mr. Bauer would be required to make it full-size. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon stated he does not believe the City <br />intends to change anything at that location. <br /> <br />Mr. Koss stated he is concerned about a private road right next to his property. He stated he is <br />opposed to the road because it is four feet from his garage, and right now he is totally secluded. <br />He does not like the idea of bringing a road in and taking out a 20 to 30 foot swath. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Board Member Johnson to close the public hearing at <br />7:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Board Members Johnson, Brauer, Shepherd, <br />Van Scoy, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Board Input <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt indicated he understands the concerns the homeowners have of changes to their <br />wonderful natural surroundings, but he is cmffident allowing this variance will not significantly <br />impact that resource. <br /> <br />Motion.by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Board Member Johnson to adopt Resolution No. 03- <br />10-270 adopting Findings of Fact #0653 relating favorably to Greg Bauer's request for a variance <br />from the street frontage or Iot width requirement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Board Members Jolmson, Brauer, Shepherd, <br />Van Scoy, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Board Member Johnson to approve Greg Bauer's <br />request for a variance from the street fi'ontage or lot width requirement based on Findings of Fact <br />#0653 and adopt Resolution #03-10-271 declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Board Members Johnson, Brauer, Shepherd, <br />Van Scoy, and Watson. Voting No: None.
