EngLneer Steve Jankowsld <br />P~anning Imem Kirk Skoog <br /> <br />CASSL TO OR.DER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the pubiic hearing to order at 7:56 p.m. <br /> <br />PR,ES~EiNTATIO N <br /> <br />City Engfneer Steve Jankowski stated that Mr. Thompson owns a parcel of land located off Green <br />Valley Road between County Read, 5 and T.H. 47. This parcel has a large IcioLl that is located <br />adjacent to the south edge of the prope?cy. He grows hay on the majority of'the prope,,"O' but <br />cannot crop the knoll successfully. Corm'actors have approached ~ about buying fill, and he has <br />applied for a mining permit to level the knoll and export approximately 200,000 yards of material. <br />The material would be taken out on a haul road to County Road 63 and then follow the trunk <br />hig.qway system to the ultimate location, lie plans to prote~ adjacent we'dand with a silt. fence. <br />There are appro,x52'nately 20 spruce trees and 7 hardwoods that would be replaced according to <br />City ordnance, and he plans to plant the replacement trees along :he west side of his prope~f. <br />The application is for a 5-year pein'hz.
