Councilmember Peterson reported that the new Trailblazer Program has a very good <br />coordinator and the project is progressing very well; the students are currently working on <br />painting hockey boards. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann suggested that consideration be given to conducting a contest to rename the <br />trailblazer program to create it's own identity separate from similar programs in other <br />communities. <br /> <br />e) Status of Construction of Rum River Bridge Approach <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley reported that during the construction of the Rum River Bridge approach, the <br />County has determined that Dysprosium Street will be used as a detour route for Cty. Road <br />#116. <br /> <br />f) Parks <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley suggested that future City Council agendas include discussion of a <br />comprehensive park plan for Ramsey. <br /> <br />Council suggested that City Staff begin by providing Council with information to review <br />prior to initiating discussions for comprehensive park plan. <br /> <br />h) Campaign Signs <br /> <br />Councilmember Cich directed that campaign signs on the comer of Cty. Rd. #5 and 153rd <br />Avenue N.W. be removed. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann noted that there are two signs posted on Hwy. #47; one by Barthel <br />advertising real estates and another advertising cement work. <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart reported that the real estate sign does have a permit and his department will <br />check into the cement work sign. <br /> <br />i) Curbside Recycling <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson inquired as to the status of the Curbside Recycling project. <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart replied that the curbside recycling project is doing quite well. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that he has requested a statistical report from Dale Hendrickson of <br />Waste Management of Blaine regarding the curbside recycling project. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adjourn the <br />regular City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson, Pearson and <br />Cich. Voting No: None.
