II.E.13. Any Natural Restoration Work <br />Purpose To reward developments that restore wooded areas, prairies, wetlands, <br />etc. <br />Criteria: 1 point per acre of restoration <br />10 points maximum <br />Bonus point category to reward natural restoration work <br />Buckthorn removal would qualify <br />II.E.14. Extraordinary Environmental Protection <br />Purpose To reward any other unregulated environmental protection that has not <br />already been addressed. <br />Criteria: Points would be awarded for other extraordinary environmental <br />protection that hasn't been addressed. <br />10 point maximum <br />Bonus point category <br />II.E.15. Area of parkland, woodland, or other open space (above minimum). <br />Purpose To encourage the creation of open space areas in a development, <br />whether they are active park areas or passive woodland areas or other <br />open space. <br />Criteria: 1 point per acre of dedicated parkland (acceptable to the city) or other <br />open space areas that are in outlots or conservation easements. <br />No maximum points. <br />Bonus point category <br />Wetlands and areas on steep slopes would not count. <br />Open space areas must be 50 feet or larger in the smallest dimension to be counted <br />in this category. <br />Project Points System <br />- 20 - Neighborhood Scale- Parks, Open Space, etc... <br />
