Please give a brief description or background about yourself. <br /> <br />Rick Thompson <br />14146 Neon Street NW <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 <br />Phone: 763-712-1856 <br /> <br />I have been a resident of the City of Ramsey for four years. I am married <br />and have three daughters and seven grandchildren. I currently work as a <br />Realtor for Coldwell Banker Burnet as well as the Vice President of <br />Construction for a public/private Development Company called Academic <br />Investment. Recently I passed the Minnesota State Contractor exam and <br />together with my wife, we are planning on starting a new residential <br />construction company. My past work history has included the construction <br />management of over $300,000,000 in general construction, mostly in the <br />health care industry. My education includes a Bachelor Degree in Civil <br />Engineering from the University of North Dakota and a two-year degree in <br />Civil Engineering Technology from North Dakota State School of Science. <br /> <br />2. Why are you interested in serving on the Ramsey Housing Committee? <br /> <br />As a resident of Ramsey I am interested in volunteering my time to the <br />conm~unity. I would like to do my part in keeping Ramsey a great place to <br />live by making sure the housing needs of the community, are being met. I <br />feel that my experience and background could be a benefit to the Ramsey <br />Housing Committee and the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />3. Provide your thought on what housing needs are in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey is a rapidly growing community that is in need of <br />having proper planning and control of its housing needs. Quality homes, <br />condominiums, townhomes, senior housing and affordable housing will all <br />be in demand in the City of Ramsey. In order to preserve the quality of life <br />that is needed for the City of Ramsey, the Ramsey Housing Committee will <br />need to provide the leadership necessary to make sure housing needs will be <br />met for the community in the future. <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br /> <br />
