CASE

POTENTIAL QCTV RELOCATION
By: James E. Norman, City Administrator

Background:

QCTV cable company is a result of a joint powers agreement between the Cities of Ramsey,
Anoka, Andover, and Champlin. QCTV is currently operating out of a facility in the-City of
Anoka. QCTV has recently lost some studio space that they were renting in the City of Anoka
and therefore they need to locate in a facility that will meet their space needs.

Observations:

The City of Ramsey is possibly in the position to negotiate a site for QCTV to locate. The City
has a parcel available along Sunfish Lake Blvd. and Sunfish Lake Court. Other Cities in the
joint powers agreement are currently considering offering sites for the new studio. The City
Council has discussed providing incentives to QCTV in order to get them to locate in Ramsey.

EDA Action:

Based on the EDA discussion, make a recommendation to the City Council regarding QCTV
locating in the City of Ramsey.

EDA: 05/07/01
